In most cases, it is unknown whether or not the head is honest in his assessment, but, under the circumstances, it is common for many testers to change the status of the controversial project to Deferred. And if, despite the objections of testers or other employees, it has been decided to defer a certain report, it will be finally considered closed. It can be reopened only at the start of the work on the next version of the product.
Such regular meetings are crucial to successful completion of the works. First of all, if testers and technical support group do not have the possibility to appeal against decisions taken by the leader in the official manner, they will find informal means for this purpose. They may demonstrate errors that are considered to be particularly significant to marketing team, directors, vice-presidents, the president of the company, the newsmen, etc.
