Integration testing – is a level testing when dedicated tester verifies the interconnection of the program interface or program product components. On this testing level, dedicated testing team validates the functionality on its interconnection with other elements of the program, accordingly, some risks can emerge in the program, and it becomes harder to localize a defect.
When verifying two modules of the program, testers checks not their functionality (as in component testing), but their interaction. For example, one component of the program creates (generates) and transmits data, and the second takes and preserves, the integration level is checked by the tests only interaction component, namely data transfer.

Integration testing for complex projects and systems is not limited to the verification of the module interactions only in one program.
Testing objects are already separate programs, databases, operating systems, equipment, etc., the interaction of complex systems requires a thorough analysis of products to create the necessary tests and localize the problems in case of defects.
